Old Dominion: Founder’s Exclusive Strategos (PBOD402)
Every Cathedral, Basilica, and sacred site of the Old Dominion was crafted by the ancient Tectons with a deep understanding of Divinity and the strength of Belief. Hidden deep within their foundations lay a spark of the divine—kept dormant until the Pantheon required a new source of power or the birth of a god.
When the Fall came, these fragile, embryonic seeds of divinity were corrupted by the baleful energies of the UnGod. Twisted into wretched masses of necromantic essence, they became bound to their places of worship, unable to roam.
To free them, the Final Creed devised a grim solution: dismantling the sacred structures, reshaping them so that the unborn godling could drag its own profane prison. The clergy then tap into the godling’s corrupted essence—showing no regard for its survival—to fuel their armies with blasphemous miracles on the battlefield.
How They Play:A grotesque relic of the once-faithful, the Profane Sepulcher devours both its own essence and that of others, granting fleeting power to itself and nearby allies. Acting as an unholy battery, it slowly burns through its reserves to bolster troops or unleash devastating blasts of corrupted energy.
After the Fall and the Theomachy, some Fallen Divinities managed to break free from Hazlia’s dominion. These once-powerless husks, now bathed in the energy surging from the Pyre, clawed back a fraction of their former might.
Yet, a few were not so fortunate. The relentless Final Creed, viewing these apostate Divinities as an insult to Hazlia’s supremacy as Pantokrator, hunted them down. Those Creed members who triumphed over such formidable foes were honored with the title of Theokrator—Master of Divinity—and granted absolute command over the subdued Fallen Divinity.
Through mighty rituals, these beings are diminished and corrupted, bound to the Theokrator’s will. On the battlefield, their power is siphoned to empower their masters, fueling waves of blasphemous magic and leaving the ground a ruinous charnel pit.
How They Play:An amorphous mass of once-faithful souls, the Fallen Pulpit bears its Archimandrite into battle, channeling corrupted divine energy to amplify their sorceries. Exceptionally durable, it thrives on the front lines—supporting nearby troops while serving as a formidable platform for devastating magical assaults.
Long before the Hundred Kingdoms, mankind reached the zenith of its power under the auspices and protection of its patron god, Hazlia the Pantokrator, and formed the Dominion. The Dominion spread mankind’s influence to the four corners of Ea, but was shattered in the apocalyptic Fall, when mankind turned on their god and laid him low. Immortal but wounded unto death, a maddened Hazlia made a deal with the Horseman of Death, merging his essence of Creation with that of the Primordial of Destruction becoming the un-God and birthing forth an abomination to all creation: the undead. Though defeated and bound by the selfless sacrifice of the Last Legion, Hazlia and his corrupted priesthood have been able to reanimate his ancient legions, turning even the very stones of his consecrated temples and cities against the living, forming the core of the forces of the Old Dominion.
